2 New Police Patrol Vehicles in Manolo Fortich are set to operate

Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño leads the turnover of 2 new police patrol vehicles in Manolo Fortich, boosting peace, order, and faster crime response.

MANOLO FORTICH — The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Manolo Fortich turned over two new police patrol vehicles to the Manolo Fortich Philippine National Police (MF PNP) on September 4, 2025, at the Manolo Fortich Police Station. This initiative underscores the municipality’s commitment to improving peace and order, while ensuring faster response to unforeseen crimes within the locality.

Peace and Order in the 10-Point Agenda

Under the administration of Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño, the 10-Point Agenda serves as the banner program, focusing on key priorities in Manolo Fortich. Fifth on the list is Peace and Order, which aims to reduce crime rates, violence against women and children, gender-based violence, human rights abuses, and related concerns.

The two new patrol vehicles, funded by the LGU at ₱3.49 million, are expected to strengthen the MF PNP’s capacity for security response and roving visibility, particularly at night when crimes are more likely to occur.

During the turnover ceremony, Mayor Quiño assured that this support marks only the beginning of further assistance from his administration to the local police, “We hope that every year makahatag ta’g dugang suporta alang sa Peace and Order sa lungsod sa Manolo Fortich because we know very well nga daghan na kaayong tao diri. Atong i-strategize ang mga pulis to maintain peace and order. Without peace, walay kalambuan.”

Gratitude from MF PNP

In response, MF PNP Chief of Police PLTCOL Evary E Bacunawa expressed his appreciation during a live interview on the Barug Manolo Fortich Radio Program on September 5, 2025, “Ang PNP Manolo Fortich dako jud kaayo og pagpasalamat sa LGU Manolo Fortich nga naghatag og duha ka PNP Patrol Vehicle aron magamit nato sa mga responses within Manolo or magamit gihapon within Bukidnon.”

Crime Status and Prevalence

When asked about the crime situation in Manolo Fortich, PLTCOL Bacunawa confirmed a decrease in criminal activity and commended the community for its cooperation, “Mapasalamaton ta sa katawhan kay dili gyud kaayo ingana ka taas ang mga crime incidences and nag decrease siya. Hopefully, mupadayon na dili magpadala sa ka init sa ulo ug dili mobuhat og mga dili maayo aron ma maintain ang kahapsay sa Manolo Fortich.”

Ways Forward for Peace and Order

The municipality continues to strengthen peace and order with the assignment of eight new personnel at the newly opened PNP Substation in Barangay Damilag. According to PLTCOL Bacunawa, this move expands the MF PNP’s services, especially since Barangay Damilag has the largest population in the municipality.

Mayor Quiño also emphasized that more PNP substations will be established in the coming years to further enhance public safety and security across Manolo Fortich.
