The Municipality of Manolo Fortich, under the strong leadership of Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño, once again secured its 4th 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝-𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝐒𝐂𝐅𝐋𝐆) 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 during the Conferment Ceremony held at Pearlmont Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City, on November 14, 2025. This recognition reflects the LGU’s unwavering commitment to building a municipality where children’s rights are protected, upheld, and valued.
Since 2021, Manolo Fortich has consistently received the SCFLG Award, affirming its sustained efforts to implement child-friendly programs anchored on the four major rights of children: Survival, Development, Participation, and Protection. Scoring 𝟗𝟑.𝟔𝟒% out of 100% for the 2023 Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA), the municipality continues to demonstrate strong governance in promoting and safeguarding the welfare of its children.
Representing the municipality during the ceremony were MLGOO Christie C. Cubero and SB Member Joy L. Cordovez, the Committee Chairperson on Women, Children, and Family Relations, who took part in the Signing of the Commitment Wall that pledge to continue in strengthening initiatives that ensure access to quality education, health and nutrition, protection, and meaningful youth participation.
Also present were personnel from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) led by MSWD Officer Maria Cecilia Sajonia, as well as Municipal Child Representatives Charlo Laurilla (Male Academe) and Hannah Mich Cat-awan (IP Sector), who proudly represented the children of Manolo Fortich.
