Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon — Towards the end of the year 2025, Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials gathered at the Municipal Gymnasium in Barangay Tankulan to celebrate the Christmas season by giving thanks for a productive year of public service in their respective barangays. With the theme “Pasko sa Kasing-kasing: Pagpasalamat ug Panaghiusa,” the activity served both as a Christmas Thanksgiving and the Municipal–Barangay Good Governance Convergence Forum, held on December 18, 2025.
The Three Aspects of Good Governance
Municipal Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño delivered his message of inspiration to the barangay leaders and participants, emphasizing the importance of upholding good governance, which remains a top priority in his 8-Point Agenda. “Mas gikinahanglan karon nga atong palig-onon ang kadugtungan sa barangay ug munisipyo alang sa Good Governance. Busa atong himoon ang mga initiatives para sa Municipal-Barangay Good Governance Convergence sa tinguha nga atong mapalambo og ayo ang Good Governance pinaagi sa mga polisiya ug programa…” He also highlighted the three key aspects of good governance: accountability, transparency, and citizens’ participation.

Municipal Administrator Engr. Joie Caesar M. Gaid facilitated the forum.

The event was also graced by Bukidnon Vice Governor Clive D. Quiño, who praised the efforts of barangay leaders and stressed their significant contributions to the municipality. “Dinhi sa barangay ginahimo ang tinuoray nga serbisyo. Dili sa papel, dili sa press release, kun dili sa adlaw-adlaw nga pag-atubang sa problema sa katawhan. Personally, para kanako ang pinakahago nga public servant is ang Barangay Officials,” stated Vice Governor Quiño.
Also present were Vice Mayor Reynaldo L. Bagayas Jr. and members of the Sangguniang Bayan: Coun. Rina E. Quiño, Coun. Elzevir A. Dagunlay, Coun. Christy “Tata” Leparto, and Coun. Joy L. Cordovez, along with ABC President Mary Jane P. Guilayan and SK Federation President Janus E. Mata.

Consistent sad ta sa atong Financial Good Housekeeping, nagpasabot nga transparent ta sa atong mga financials nga atong gi-keep. Nahimo tang Most Competitive Municipality, consistent gyapon ta. Unya nahimo sad tang Most Business-Friendly nga LGU. Tungod kana sa atong Municipal Officials ug Barangay Officials.”
The activity also served as the venue for the distribution of financial subsidies to Barangay and SK officials, facilitated by the Municipal Treasurer’s Office. Municipal Mayor Quiño and Vice Governor Quiño likewise shared their blessings with the barangay officials through a raffle promo.
