The Local Government Unit of Manolo Fortich recognized the achievements of its youth leaders during the second AYOS (Awards for Youth Outstanding Service) Awarding Ceremony, held on December 12, 2025, at the Municipal Gymnasium in Barangay Tankulan. Launched in 2024, the awards honor Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials and youth organizations for their dedication, leadership, and positive impact on their communities.
The program began with a welcome address by Local Youth Development Officer Ronel E. Alemania, who highlighted the importance of youth participation and shared insights from his visits to various barangays, noting the strong dedication of young leaders to community service.
“What I witnessed in every barangay were not just projects, but extraordinary initiatives born out of unity, creativity, and the courage to serve for impact, not recognition. ‘Be Inspired, Lupad Manolo Fortich is more than a slogan, it is a call for our youth to create change through service, leadership, and unity,” LYDO Alemania shared, beaming with pride.
This was followed by an inspirational message from Vice Mayor Reynaldo L. Bagayas Jr., who emphasized the importance of integrity in leadership and urged the SK Federation to listen to the voices of the youth and actively speak up for their communities.
“True leadership begins with integrity, and the Sangguniang Kabataan must never be a breeding ground for corruption but a force that fights it. When leaders listen to the voice of the youth and speak up for their communities, we move closer to a better future for our municipality.”
Adding excitement to the event, SK councils from participating barangays presented TikTok dance performances—some as collaborative group numbers—showcasing the creativity, energy, and teamwork of the youth. This was followed by the awarding of the following recognitions: Outstanding SK Council, Outstanding SK Chairperson, Outstanding Youth Organization, Outstanding Youth Initiatives, and Special Awards.
