The Local Government Unit of Manolo Fortich, under the leadership of Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño, is set to bring Panagduaw 2.0 to Barangay Sto. Niño as part of its continuing commitment to youth empowerment and community development.
Panagduaw 2.0 is one of the flagship programs of the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), designed to bring meaningful learning opportunities closer to young people in the municipality's barangays. The initiative aims to equip youth with knowledge, skills, and values that will help them become responsible and productive members of society.
Bringing Learning and Opportunities Closer to the Youth
Derived from the Cebuano word meaning "visitations," Panagduaw serves as a community-based outreach program that engages youth aged 15 to 30 years old through interactive discussions, educational symposiums, and participatory activities.
The program seeks to address important issues affecting young people while promoting personal growth, civic engagement, and community involvement.
Through Panagduaw 2.0, participants will gain valuable insights on various topics that contribute to their overall development and well-being.
Focus on Health, Values, and Environmental Stewardship
The activity will feature discussions and learning sessions on key areas, including:
Health Awareness and Nutrition – promoting healthy lifestyles and physical well-being;
Population and Development – encouraging informed decision-making and responsible citizenship;
Values Education – strengthening character, leadership, and ethical principles;
Environmental Protection and Agriculture – fostering environmental responsibility and sustainability; and
Responsible Youth Engagement – encouraging active participation in community-building initiatives.
By addressing these topics, the program aims to help young people become more informed, resilient, and socially responsible citizens.
Multi-Sectoral Partnership for Youth Development
Panagduaw 2.0 is a collaborative effort involving various local government offices and youth organizations committed to advancing youth welfare and development.
Among the participating offices and partners are the Municipal Health Office (MHO), Municipal Nutrition Action Office (MNAO), Population and Development Office (PDO), Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO), and the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC).
The partnership highlights the municipality's whole-of-government approach in addressing the needs and aspirations of the youth sector.

The Local Government of Manolo Fortich recognizes the youth as vital partners in nation-building and community development. Through programs such as Panagduaw 2.0, the municipality continues to invest in initiatives that strengthen leadership, promote positive values, and encourage active participation among young Manoleños.
