78 Learners Receive School Supplies Through "Lakaw Ta Para sa Mga Bata" Program

LGU Brings Educational Assistance to Pupils in Sitio Kibulawan

Seventy-eight learners from Grades 1 to 6 of Naewanan Ta Kibulawan Elementary School in Sitio Kibulawan, Barangay Kalugmanan, received free school supplies this June through the "Lakaw Ta Para sa Mga Bata" and "Angel Tree Program."

The initiative aims to help learners prepare for the new school year while easing the financial burden on their families, particularly those living in geographically isolated communities.

Collaborative Initiative Supports Children's Education
The outreach activity was spearheaded by the Local Government Unit of Manolo Fortich through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), in partnership with the Municipal Council for the Protection of Children (MCPC).

The program reflects the municipality's continued commitment to ensuring that every child has access to basic educational needs, regardless of their location or socioeconomic status.

Jejie C. Tolitol of the Schools Division Office expressed gratitude to the Municipal Council for selecting Naewanan Ta Kibulawan Elementary School as one of the beneficiaries of the outreach program. "Dako kaayo akong pasalamat sa Council kay ilang gipili ang atong eskwelahan sa Kibulawan para sa karon nga outreach program. Ang ipanghatag karon sa grupo dili gikan sa government kon dili gikan sa tagsa- tagsa ka bulsa sa tanang miyembro sa Council", Tolitol emphasized that the donated school supplies were made possible through the personal contributions of the members of the Municipal Council for the Protection of Children, demonstrating their shared commitment to supporting children's education.

Partnership Brings Hope to Young Learners
Maria Cecilia C. Sajonia, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer, explained that the initiative is one of the special programs conceptualized to support children and ensure they are better prepared for school. "Kini nga program Lakaw Ta Bata usa ni ka Special Project o program nga gimugna sa atong halandong Mayor Quiño, Para ma- mas ready mo maghatag me sa inyo ug school supplies in cooperation sa PESO, DOLE. Kini among gipanghatag personal ni nga pledge sa Municipal Council for the Protection of Children", She highlighted the collaboration among the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), PESO, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and the Municipal Council for the Protection of Children in making the activity possible.

Learners Receive Essential School Supplies
The beneficiaries received new school bags, notebooks, pens, pencils, paper, crayons, and other essential learning materials to support their studies throughout the school year.

The school supplies will help ensure that the pupils are better equipped for classroom learning and encourage them to pursue their education with confidence.

Investing in the Future Through Education
The initiative forms part of Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño's "Education-for-All" program, which seeks to make quality education more accessible to every young Manoleño.

By providing free school supplies to learners, especially those in remote communities, the Local Government Unit of Manolo Fortich continues to invest in the future of its children while helping ease the financial burden on parents and guardians.

Through programs such as "Lakaw Ta Para sa Mga Bata," the municipality reaffirms its commitment to creating opportunities for every child to learn, grow, and succeed, recognizing that education remains one of the strongest foundations for community development and a brighter future.
