The Population and Development Division of LGU Manolo Fortich formulates plans and strategies to ensure delivery of basic services and provision of adequate facilities relative to the integration of the population development principles and in providing access to said services and facilities. The office implements programs, projects and activities on Philippines’ Population and Development Programs anchored on strategies on the three (3) key programs of the office which is the Population and Development Integration (PopDev Integration), Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning (RPFP) and Adolescent Health and Development (AHD).
The PopDev Integration Section implements strategies which will be pursued towards realizing population outcomes that are facilitative of sustainable socio-economic and human development. It aims to integrate population dynamics and variables in development initiatives such as policy, plan and program formulation.
The Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning Section implements priority strategies which are geared towards assisting couples to achieve their desired number and spacing of children within the demand of responsible parenthood through effective family planning. It specifically aims to attain zero unmet need for modern family planning through increased access to FP information and services.
The Adolescent Health and Development Section implements strategies to prevent early and repeated pregnancy among 10 – 19 years adolescents. With concerted efforts, necessary services and information which are crucial to the development of the total well-being of young people will be made available wherever they go – home, school, church and the community.
