In an effort to supplement the infrastructure projects implemented in the schools and non-formal classes through Alternative Learning System (ALS), the local government also reaches out to students in the formal and non-formal education by providing them with the basic school supplies such as bags, papers, notebooks, pens and crayons; hygiene kits which included toothpastes, toothbrushes, and slippers; basic services such as haircutting, feeding program and dental check-ups. This is mainly to support them and inspire them to achieve more to their studies.
The meager allocation from the LGU was augmented to reach more areas through outsourcing and linkages with private individuals, companies, and organizations who are willing to help the project. Identification and prioritization of beneficiaries were based on the needs and availability of the supplies.
