Set of New Association Officers in Manolo Fortich Took Oath of Office

Gearing towards a productive foreseeable future for the PWD sector through active leadership of the new set of officers.

The set of new officers of the Manolo Fortich Federation of Differently Abled Persons Association and Manolo Fortich Federation of Parents Mobilization Action Group Association took their oath of office with the Municipal Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño at the New Government Center Conference Hall on January 24, 2023.

The officers of the MFFDAPA are composed of the following:

President: Samson Cañete - Barangay Alae

V-President: Rene Laspuña - Barangay Sto. Niño

Secretary: Vilma Baculio - Barangay Mantibugao

Treasurer:  Ma. Tessie Andilan - Barangay Dalirig

Auditor: Joel Libres - Barangay Damilag

PIO: Rhobielyn Erana - Barangay Lunocan

 

While the MFFPMAGA officers are the folowing:

President: Teresita B. Paculanag - Barangay Mambatangan

V-President: Jenny Beth C. Adora - Barangay Lingion

Secretary: Lorina S Ochavo - Barangay Dicklum

Treasurer: Wenita M. Quiray - Barangay Sankanan

The members of the MFFPMAGA are the parents who have children who belong to the Persons with Disability Sector in the 22 barangays of the municipality. According to her, the officers who took oath will stand as the representatives of the PWD sector who will help the PDAO in accordance to the mandate from the local government.

According to Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño, he sees the PWD the same way as the other sectors that have created their own cooperatives. He also added that through the steady contribution of the members, they can slowly save for funds as capital for their plans in building business. He also promised to provide additional capital if the group shall opt to create a cooperative.

The Committee Chair on Senior Citizen ug PWD Councilor Miguel D. Demata is grateful that the PWD already has an association. He also added that there were a lot of submitted resolutions from the previous Senior Citizen and PWD committees that have not been given attention. He shared that he will prioritize their share through allotting 1% of the National Tax Allotment of the barangays so that they can utilize it in their programs and activities.
