Parole and Probation celebrates 46th anniversary

Two-hundred parolees and probationary convened at Tankulan Covered Court, Barangay Tankulan, Manolo Fortich, on June 15, 2022 to celebrate the 46th anniversary of the Parole and Probation Administration.
On the same day, the Bukidnon Parole and Probation Office No. 1 also celebrated its 27th anniversary. Bukidnon Parole and Probation Office No. 1 encompassed the five municipalities namely, Manolo Fortich, Talakag, Malitbog, and Baungon.
Chief Parole and Probation Officer Maria Cristina C. Palanca reveals that there are about 800 numbers of Parolees and Probationary in the five municipalities, 200 of which are from Manolo Fortich, 100 from Libona, 80 from Baungon, 60 from Malitbog and 100 from Talakag.
The administration aims to elect their officers in order to register to Security and Exchange Commission, Department of Labor and Employment including its accreditation in the Sangguniang Bayan for their projects that could help them.
The celebration of the 46th anniversary of the Parole and Probation Administration is in lieu of Presidential Decree No. 968 or widely known as Probation Law of 1976 signed by former president Ferdinand Marcos on July 24, 1976.
