Janis S. Rosal, 20 yrs old and an Electrical Installation and Maintenance NCII Graduate of the Technical Skills and Development Center of the Local Government of Manolo Fortich lands third place in the 2023 Bukidnon Skills Competition Electrical Installation and Maintenance category held at the Kaamulan Open Theater, Malaybalay City on September 19-20, 2023.
According to Rosal, it was his first time joining the competition. He said in an interview that despite the shortcomings, he persevered in completing the contest landing third in the competition. “Naningkamot lang jud ko ma’am bahalag dugay kaayo ko nahuman. Padayon lang jud ma’am, di mu-surrender.” He was accompanied by his Trainer/Coach Johanie A. Dimol, MFTSDC EIM Trainer and the PESO Manager and CTEC Roger O. Molina.
The 2-day activity showcased the level of expertise among technical vocational education and training (TVET) graduates and practitioners; and promote quality skills development in the province in view of participating in regional, national and international skills competition.

2. Electrical Installation and Maintenance
3. Welding
4. Baking
5. Cooking
6. Restaurant Service
7. Fashion Design
Various TESDA Accredited testing and learning center who are part of the Bukidnon TVET Institutions Association (BUKTIA) participated in the event such as Valencia Colleges Bukidnon, Inc., IBA College of Mindanao, Bukidnon Agri-Nature with Agro-Therapeutic Garden Agricultural Learning Center, Bukidnon National School of Home, Industries Training and Assessment Center, and Green Thumb Rice Farm.
TESDA Bukidnon Provincial Director Engr. Adrian B. Ampong together with the Provincial Community Training and Employment Coordinator (CTEC) Stephanie O. Melendez were present in the said event.
Moreover, TESDA Farm Schools booths and tents of were also installed at the Kaamulan Open Theater to exhibit their farm produced and value-adding products.
