Manolo Fortich Celebrates 1st Municipal Tourism Week

Gathers stakeholders, local tourists, exhibitors and artists.

The Grand Opening of the Municipal Tourism Week celebration started off with a bang as the array of guests and visitors commemorated at the Manolo Fortich Tourist Rest Area on September 27, 2023.
 
The opening signified the start of the activities prepared by the Municipal Tourism Office headed by Municipal Tourism Officer Jixon Cloyd R. Abanes with Committee Chairperson on Tourism Councilor Rina E. Quiño which seeks to promote tourism through the different produce of Manolo Fortich in terms of art, crafts, and products.
 
Councilor Quiño in her message expressed her profound thanks to the people behind the pioneering tourism week celebration as well as stating her plans for the TRA and the next Tourism Week celebrations. “With the help of our agriculture office, GSD, Engineering Office, MIO, we thank you dearly and hoping to collaborate with each offices in the next project. Hoping our next year tourism week celebration of course with the blessing of our mayor, we will have an official collaboration with the municipal agriculture’s office, the MENR Office and this time we’ll propose to name it as Agri-Ecotoursim Week celebration.”
 
The opening ceremony was also graced by the Provincial Vice Governor Clive D. Quiño who unfailingly shows his support to his beloved municipality expressing his faith to the tourism potential of Manolo Fortich. “Congratulations to you, and your team. Gani paman para sa akoa tourism sa Manolo Fortich should not be about just festivals, food, mga tourism sites but it should also be tourism on local governance. Tungod kay gaanhi ang mga tao dire kay gusto sila magtoon. They are inspired by the story of Manolo Fortich, they are inspired by the officials of Manolo Fortich. How they run the government and it is something that should be proud of as Manoleños. Continue, padayon sa inyong mga nasugdan.”
 
The guests and visitors who were present during the event included personalities from both public and private sector such as Mr. Carlo Chavez of Torre de Lorenzo, DOT X 10  represented by Mr. Emmanuel Vallecera, Holy Cross High School, STI, Lifehouse Montesorri, Manolo Fortich Water District, and Manolo Fortich Chamber of Commerce.l and Industries Inc.
 
The night of the opening day paved way to the Night Café with the local band, Strange Company. The night café along with the booth and art exhibit shall run until the closing ceremony on the 30th.
