BI-MONTHLY FLAG RAISING AND CONVOCATION RECOGNIZES RECENT AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Flag Raising and Convocation

Monday, October 23, 2023 - The Manolo Fortich Municipal Slaughterhouse and Mangima Spring Resort and Bike Park of the Municipal Economic Enterprise Office (MEEO) leads the bi-monthly flag raising and convocation to give updates of recent awards and accomplishments of their offices at the Municipal Hall Grounds and lobby of the New Government Center, Barangay Tankulan, Manolo Fortich.

Mangima Spring Resort and Bike Park division first gave recognition to 5 of their employees during the flag raising ceremony for their unwavering commitment and dedication to years of service at the resort and bike park namely: Rewel Baston, Guilbert Lan-ayan, Arnulfo Ramole, Nickarter Onahon Jr., and Analie Brigole.

 

Reporting of annual accomplishments continued during the convocation program. Municipal Slaughterhouse reports recent activities such as the increase of slaughtering fee from PHP 55.00 to PHP 170.00 that has been effective since August 2023 as stipulated in the Ordinance No. 2020-1383 Article J. (Slaughter and Corral Fees) by providing an increase to the Slaughter Fee.

 

Meanwhile, Mangima Spring Resort and Bike Park presents its accomplishments such as its new and developing facilities. It highlights the amenities and improved rooms of the resort. They also awarded their employees who actively participated in the Fire Drill that was conducted as a safety measure for future incidents held at Mangima Spring Resort and Bike Park last October 12, 2023.

 

At the same time, a project completion and turnover ceremony of the Trash Trap for Lunocan River with a total appropriation of PHP 300,000.00 at Barangay San Miguel, Manolo Fortich, was held during the convocation by the Municipal Project Monitoring Committee to Barangay Chairman of San Miguel, Benjamin S. Miñoza. The turnover was signed by Municipal Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño and participated by the Sangguniang Bayan Members.

 

As the convocation closes, Mayor Quiño gives his message in connection to his recent trip to Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, Thailand with various members of his office and the Sangguniang Bayan last October 16 to October 22, to visit a potential project called the Waste to Energy, “Nindot kaayo ang resulta sa pag agto kay nakita namo unsa ang Waste to Energy. Meaning, ang basura ma convert into energy and gas. Ang usa ka lugar ddto, libre ang gas gikan lang sa waste na na produce.”

 

The said project is aimed to be implemented in the municipality by the near future. Mayor Quiño emphasized that aside from promoting a green and eco-friendly community through this project, this can also enhance the municipality’s livelihood, “Kung kita maka produce later on diri sa atong landfill, samot ka dako ang atong income sa pag produce sa energy. Hopefully we can apply it diri sa atong lungsod puhon,” he adds.

The bi-montly flag raising ceremony and convocation is the last for the month of October. This was participated with the Sangguniang Bayan Members headed by Municipal Vice Mayor Reynaldo L. Bagayas Jr., along with the heads of offices in the Local Government Unit of Manolo Fortich.
