The Manolo Fortich External Affairs Office hosted the monthly meeting of the Civilian Volunteers Organization (CVO) held at its office on October 5, 2022 with the presence of Municipal Councilor Atty. Jay Albarece. The purpose of the presence of the councilor is for the consultation concerning the peace and order in every barangay.
The consultation with Councilor Albarece encompasses the legal counseling in handling the peace and order of the CVOs in every barangay. During the meeting, the Chief CVOs of every barangay were allowed to ask questions regarding the rules and scope of their jurisdiction in handling conflicts. Hon. Albarece is the head of the Committee on Laws. Rules, and Regulations, Peace and Order, Labor and Employment.
The Civilian Volunteers Organization is a body or brigade composed of civilian volunteers duly created at the barangay level, to assist the barangay officials in the effective exercise of law enforcement for the maintenance of peace and order and the promotion of public safety. The CVO Civilian Volunteers Organizations in the 22 barangays of Manolo Fortich are organized to constitute the unarmed component of the local defense forces.
