Manolo Fortich Linggo ng Kabataan 2022 hosts Job Fair and “Larong Pinoy”

Sangguniang Kabataan hosted a plethora of events in celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2022

A job fair took place at the Bahay Tulogan, Barangay Tankulan, in collaboration with Public Employment Service Office (PESO) on August 20 in celebration of the Linggo ng Kabataan 2022. There were about 1,149 vacant positions offered by local, national, and international companies in order to give opportunities to the youth and other residents of the municipality to land for a job. According to Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President John Anthony G. Leyson, the job fair is a great help in improving the difficult situations the people are facing in the new normal. Hon. Leyson extended his thanks to Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño for his unending support for the activities of the youth of Manolo Fortich.

In line with this, Bukidnon Vice Governor Clive D. Quiño is also grateful for the effort of the private companies who responded to the invitation of the one-day event. The Vice Governor is happy that a lot of the Manoleños, most particularly the youth who are doing their best to land for a job. He is also appreciative of the cooperation that the youth of Manolo Fortich have shown and wishes for it to continue and flourish.

Simultaneously, the other members of the youth played different kinds of “Larong Pinoy” such as tsinelas lata, syatong, takyang and etc. The purpose of which is to introduce and expose the youth of this generation to the fun-filled pinoy games and to inculcate the value for an active lifestyle for a healthy physique through games. The members of the Sangguniang Kabataan from the 22 barangays participated during the “Larong Pinoy”.

A mental health awareness where adolescence and teenage pregnancy are discussed was also conducted by the Municipal Health Office. While the Manolo Fortich-PNP conducted Kabataan Kontra Droga symposium in order to empower the war against the illegal use of drugs. In the evening, the youth showcased their talents in dancing in the Youth Pasikat. These are just some of the activities during the two-day celebration of the Linggo ng Kabataan 2022 headed by the Local Government of Manolo Fortich and the Sangguniang Kabataan and Local Youth Development Office.

Aside from the Bukidnon Provincial Vice Governor Clive D. Quiño, the wife and councilor Hon. Rina E. Quiño was also present in the activity. DOLE Bukidnon Provincial Director Raul Valmores, Councilor Atty. Jay Albarece and Committee Chair on Labor and Employment and PESO Manager Roger O. Molina. The Sangguniang Kabataan of the Barangay Agusan Canyon was hailed as the champion for the “Larong Pinoy” and Barangay Alae won the Youth Pasikat contest.
