Manolo Fortich Tourism Office headed by Tourism Officer Jixon Cloyd R. Abanes joined the Bukidnon Association of Tourism Officers (BATO) assembly at the Paradise Garden Resort and Restaurant, Maramag, Bukidnon on August 5, 2022. This is participated by the designated tourism officers and coordinators including the spouses of the mayors of the province of Bukidnon and the SB chairpersons of the Committee on Tourism. The topic discussed in the assembly is the importance of the wide responsibility of the tourism sector in a community and in the entire municipality.
According to Abanes, the assembly serves as a good avenue to learn more about ways of the other municipalities in running their tourism sector. He also saw the huge potential of Manolo Fortich tourism to prosper because of the economic growth, natural attraction as well as the recognition of the local products of the Manoleños. He plans to actively support the settlement of the Barangay Development Plan and the Municipal Tourism Development Plan. “I wanted to really incorporate the culture of Manolo Fortich in all the activities, at the same time we also want to promote the undiscovered sites to the majority not just to the Manoleños but also for our future tourists,” stated Abanes.
The following personalities are also present in the congregation; Maramag Mayor Jose Joel Doromal, Bukidnon Provincial Tourism Officer OIC Butch Anthony Melendez, BATO President Lea Madelo Apal, Koryo Bukidnon and NCCA Coordinator James M. Tupas and Datu Arayan Antonio Lantong Dagoc Jr. DOT-10 Regional Director Marie Elaine S. Unchuan was able to join the assembly via Zoom meeting. The Bukidnon Association of Tourism Officers are very pleased to Senate President Juan Miguel F. Zubiri for his support for the successful event most especially for his unwavering corroboration to promote the tourism in the province.
