LGU Manolo Fortich maintains Excellent Rating in the MELLPI

Provincial Monitoring & Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation

Dignitaries from the Provincial Health Office, Department of Interior and Local Government, and Provincial Planning Development Office, Provincial Bantay Asin Task Force (PBATF), Provincial Sanitary Inspector as Provincial Nutrition Evaluation Team (PNET) visited the Local Government Unit of Manolo Fortich specifically the Municipal Nutrition and Action Office to conduct the Provincial Monitoring & Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) for the year 2021.

Manolo Fortich is already a hall of famer in the Local Government Nutrition Monitoring and Evaluation which resulted to its accreditation as a Nutrition Honor Awardee in 2019. The purpose of the evaluation is to monitor the continuous excellent implementation of its programs and projects highlighting strong performance interventions addressing the triple burden of malnutrition such as dietary supplementation, micronutrient supplementation and management of overweight and obesity.

The criteria of the said evaluation includes the achievement of local mission and vision, implementation of nutrition laws and policies, governance and organization structure, local nutrition committee management functions, and nutrition intervention/services where the LGU of Manolo Fortich garnered a rating of 97.49%.

Nutrition monitoring and evaluation systems are essential in measuring program performance and evaluating the impact of interventions. These systems include routine recording and reporting of nutrition services integrated in the existing health information system and periodic surveys and also assessments.

The high rating of this evaluation is made possible by the efficient planning and implementation of the nutritional projects and activities made by the current administration and its staff to monitor, maintain, and improve the health and nutrition of the Manoleños and guided by the sincere goals of the vision of the Municipal Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño and the previous Mayor, now Provincial Vice Governor Clive D. Quiño.
