GCASH HOLDS FIRST FINANCIAL LITERACY SEMINAR IN NORTHERN MINDANAO AT MANOLO FORTICH

GCash further solidifies its goal to make its services more known and accessible as cashless transactions become increasingly common in payment modes nowadays. This was achieved through their financial literacy seminar held at the ABC Hall of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Manolo Fortich, marking the very first in Northern Mindanao, on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.
According to Northern Mindanao GCash Regional Account Manager Gremarc Doctolero, the LGU of Manolo Fortich has been in partnership with GCash, and they seized the opportunity to collaborate through the seminar, “I think not everyone pa is aware nga Gcash is already a partner of LGU Manolo and not all employees know the features pag gamiton na nila ang Gcash. So, we provide that opportunity for them with the Financial Literacy nga session natin.”
The financial literacy seminar accommodated two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Representatives from each office of the LGU of Manolo Fortich participated in a comprehensive discussion led by resource speaker and GCash Learning Delivery and Training Specialist Maggie Camansi. The sessions covered the benefits of using GCash, the usage of the GCash Wallet, and the products and services offered by GCash.
Camansi also elaborated on other services offered aside from the GCash wallet, such as GGives, GLoan, GCredit, and others. These services provide users with avenues to avail of loans, savings, and other promos that can offer easy access when purchasing products or services from GCash partner stores and institutions.
Among the direct partners of the seminar was the Management Information System Office (MISO). MISO OIC on IT Governance Carmella C. Quirog also presented the available services of LGU Manolo Fortich that can be paid through cashless transactions,“LGU Manolo Fortich now accepts cashless payments like Police Clearance, Building Permit fees, Tax Clearance, MENRO Clearance ug uban pa para mas accessible najud siya sa atong tanan ug para dili nata need muanhi sa munisipyo para magbayad.”
Furthermore, Doctolero emphasized how GCash aims for everyone to have equal access to their financial needs, which is the primary initiative of the seminar. “Ang vision namin is finance for all. Not everyone has the opportunity na maka access sa bank, maka invest, or maka loan sa mga banks. It’s because of the requirements. But, in GCash it’s already there. So, we’re providing that opportunity to the financial features nga usually they cannot access, so kami ang naghatag ana."
