MANOLO FORTICH BNB RECEIVES PHP220,000 WORTH OF LIVELIHOOD ASSISTANCE FROM DOLE

DOLE - Assisted Livelihood Project

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) - Assisted Livelihood Project granted 10 associations/individuals from Manolo Fortich the equipment/products needed to kick-start their livelihoods. The turnover of starter kits was held on June 24, 2024, at the Tankulan covered court, Norminco compound, Manolo Fortich.

The starter kits were given to associations/individuals, including the Dahilayan Vendors Association, the Northern Bukidnon Transport Service Cooperative, the Minsuro Farmers Association, 50 individual beneficiaries including TESDA NC2 graduates, and the Manolo Fortich Botika ng Barangay (BNB) Operators association, led by BNB Coordinator Carmen Villarino.

Among the equipment granted by DOLE to the BNB are a printer, 28 kinds of utensils, pigment ink, a Cameo vinyl cutter, vinyl stickers, a heavy-duty grinder, a modified compressor, 1000 pieces of ginger oil bottles, and 2,100 pieces of bottles for Macapa. This totaled 220,000 pesos and included fresh ginger, panyawan, 50 pieces of candles, and other items.

Villarino expressed her gratitude towards the focal persons behind the grant that has significantly helped the association for the past 8 years: “Dako kaayo ang akong pagpasalamat, una sa tanan kang Mayor Rogelio Quiño sa iyang way puas nga suporta sa association of Botika ng Barangay operators and ingon man usab kang sir Roger Molina nga mao gyuy nagtutuk sa among livelihood program nga 8 years na nga existing. Molina emphasized that the grant is an opportunity for the beneficiaries to grow as business owners and that the grants should not be sold but rather invested to grow: “Sa tanan nakadawat, hopefully inyo nang paga-ampingan. Ayaw na ninyo ibaligya ang gihatag sainyo kay kana gihatag aron matabangan kamo sainyong pamilya. Mahatagan kamo og livelihood,” he said in front of the beneficiaries.

“Ang ato, kini ang inyong formation sa grant, ang pagsugod. Subay sa balaod nga Department Order 239, formation, sugod. Daghan na gyud kaayo mga successful nga pareha sainyo, depende ragyud na sainyo decision sa inyong kinabuhi nga inyo gyud nang ilambo.
