Presidents and vice presidents from eight volunteer organizations in Manolo Fortich participated in the two-day Successful Leadership Seminar held at the External Affairs Office on February 7-8, 2023.
They are officials coming from the Barangay Health Workers (BHW), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Barangay Tanod, Daycare Workers, Botika ng Barangay (BNB) Operators, Barangay Service Point Officers (BSPO), Barangay Sanitary Inspector (BSI), and Lupong Tagapamayapa.
According to External Affairs consultant Raul “Bong” Piit, the activity aimed to strengthen the leaders from the different volunteer organizations in the municipality. To make them efficient in their obligations and to have a deeper understanding of their responsibilities in the community as a volunteer. Mr. Piit emphasizes that in every task and duties of the volunteers, there will be struggles and challenges that they must face, and when that time comes, they will have wisdom and competency to be an effective and reliable leader.
The training also served as a preparation for the foundation of "Baruganan Volunteers Credit Cooperative". Before the volunteers enter into business/entrepreneurship, they must understand the importance of a cooperative which will help them and their fellow volunteers.
Manolo Fortich Municipal Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño was present on the first day to show his support of the activity, as well as Committee Chair on Cooperative Councilor Cristy L. Salabe.
