MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE LGU MANOLO FORTICH AND VISITOUR.PH

A Memorandum of Agreement was signed between the Local Government Unit of Manolo Fortich, headed by Municipal Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño, and Visitour.ph Marketing Specialist Jessa Matugas, on May 11, 2023. Also present were Vice Mayor Reynaldo L. Bagayas Jr., and member of the Sangguniang Bayan and chair of the committee for tourism Councilor Rina E. Quiño.

The MAO is with regards to the continuous progress of tourism in the municipality through a tourism app placed on establishments/tourist destinations, making it easy to use and accessible to tourists visiting the municipality.

Tourism Officer Jixon Cloyd Abanes commented on how the visitour.ph cell phone app offers a big help, especially to tourists who want to discover destinations of their liking and good accommodation in the municipality. “Isa ni siya ka cellphone application kung asa ma-access sa torista ug sa atong mga negosyante especially ang atong mga tourist establihments. Sa part pud sa LGU especially sa tourism, mas paspas ug mas accurate nga data tungod kay kining visitour nga app aduna sila’y QR Code nga scan sa mga bisita nga ilang maregister sa ilang mga pangalan, ilang gusto adtuan sa Manolo ug of course kung asa sila naka-book. Kani nga mga detalye ma-gather namo ni sa among end para ma-submit pud nato ang statistic sa Region ug Provincial level.” Abanes stated.

Potential users may download the visitour.ph mobile app for free with the assurance that the data they enter will be kept secure and confidential. The software was developed by Bukidnon State University IT and HRM students, and currently, it has been used in Region 10 of the province, and also in other areas of Luzon.
