Cooperatives in Bukidnon Conducted Its Monthly PCDC Meeting at Manolo Fortich

The Business Permit and Licensing Office of Manolo Fortich facilitated the Provincial Cooperative Development Council (PCDC) Meeting on June 27, 2023, at BCC Hotel, Damilag, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. The gathering was composed of officials and members of PCDC from various cooperatives in Bukidnon to conduct their regular monthly meeting every 4th Tuesday of the month.

The event started by highlighting the significance of a cooperative in a municipality/city and how it may increase the community's vitality. Present in the meeting was Committee on Trade, Commerce and Cooperative Chairwoman Coun. Christy L. Salabe who expressed her thoughts on having a cooperative in the locality. “I realized nga kung naa tay kooperatiba sa usa ka munisipyo, makita nato nga ang community nga namuyo dira is very united. They are not there to gain profit, but they are there to help. Katong ilang mga silingan, mga kaigsuunan, nga matabangan sila aron mu-grow pod sila financially.” Coun. Salabe stated.

Municipal Administrator Engr. Joie Caesar M. Gaid was also present in the meeting and spoke about his experiences as a cooperative member and official before starting his own cooperative. He stated that without competent management, the cooperative would disintegrate, hence every cooperative must have dedicated, trustworthy, and generally good officers. He encouraged the officers and members present in the meeting to give themselves a round of applause for having a thriving and productive cooperative in the province of Bukidnon. He also affirmed the support of our Municipal Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño to the attendees. “In behalf pud ni Mayor, kabalo siya nga naa ni, he sends his support para sa Coop, di lang kay sa Manolo, also sa Province of Bukidnon. Mao pud ni iyang gusto himoon, nga naa gyuy mga timbayayong, so kanang cooperativism, kay diha gyud ta muasenso.” said Engr. Gaid.

Minutes of the meeting include the Finalization and Adaption of Strategic Planning, Benchmarking Update, Financial Report, and other matters as far as the provincial cooperatives are concerned. The meeting was headed by PCDC Chairperson Ma. Asuncion Codilla and facilitated by LGU Manolo Fortich through Municipal Cooperative Development Officer Designate Natalie Gamaya.
