MAO conducts Meeting, MF Agri Coops to receive chosen Subsidies

The various agricultural cooperatives of Manolo Fortich participate in the meeting conducted by the MAFC with MAO head Gemma G. Cania

The presidents and representatives of the respective agricultural cooperatives in the whole municipality of Manolo Fortich headed by the Municipal Agriculture Office and the Municipal Agriculture and Fishery Council (MAFC) convened at the LGU Conference Hall on September 22, 2022 to discuss the different assistance and opportunities that the government has in store for them among other agenda.

The meeting was headed by the MAFC Chairman Fe. Q. Sangco and was supervised by Municipal Agriculturist Gemma G. Cania. The main purpose of the meeting was to comprehensively explain the numerous programs and projects in order to guide the cooperatives in carefully choosing the different subsidies that are available for them. The approval of their papers lies on the accurate supplication of their applications and Chairman Sangco and Municipal Agriculturist Cania made sure that the cooperatives are guided properly. They also helped them decide for the right program or project for them to manage.

The other agenda of the meeting included the personal introduction of the Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture, Hon. Elziver Dagunlay to the council. In his talk, he laid out the plans of the LGU and his committee for the farmers and the members of the agriculture sector.  He happily shared how generous President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. is to the agriculture sector and that he foresees prosperous years ahead for the sector most especially on how much it could generate more job opportunities for the Manoleños.

Moreover, the officer-in-charge of the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator’s Office, Cherry Fe Amor Q. Magallones was also invited in the meeting to introduce and invite the members to the first ever Municipal Livelihood Summit on October 10-11, 2022. This much awaited event is created to provide an avenue for the different sectors, most especially the vulnerable sector to learn and earn to reduce poverty for economic stability. The highlights of the two-day event are the skills training, product exhibits, keynote talk of notable speakers in the Region, and a raffle draw. This project’s cause is in line with Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño’s 10-point agenda and 8 special projects.

Indeed, the line of events, projects, and programs the Municipal Agricultural Office and the Committee of Agriculture of the LGU have prepared for the people of Manolo Fortich shows a clear mark of good service and intentions for the citizen’s prosperity. This is only the beginning of the strengthened support for what is considered as the backbone of the economy.
