MANOLO FORTICH OBO AMONG TOP 3 AWARDEES FROM PSA BUKIDNON

The Office of the Building Official (OBO) of the Local Government Unit of Manolo Fortich secures a place as one of the Top 3 awardees of most timely submissions of Approved Building Permits by the provincial Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) last October 26, 2023 at Landing, Casisang, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
The award is an annual recognition that is participated by the 20 municipalities and 2 cities of the Province of Bukidnon with only Top 3 chosen awardees. This year, Malaybalay City, Maramag, and Manolo Fortich made it to the top list.
OBO Head Engr. Rosa Bella Saluta along with Engr. Cherry Mae Galvez had the honor of receiving the plaque of recognition during the forum and awards ceremony.
“Kini nga award, amo jud ni pasigarbo sa LGU Manolo Fortich kay sa 22, napili gyud ta na ma awardan ani. Nalipay pud mi diri sa among opisina nga nahatagan jud mi sa PSA as an awardee,” says Engr. Saluta during an interview.
Since OBO processes and authorizes building permits of local and new establishments in the municipality, submissions of approved permits to the provincial office of PSA is done monthly. PSA uses these submissions as a report to their central office for the purpose of keeping an updated record of newly built establishments in the Philippines. In return, PSA awards offices who regularly submit reports.
According to Engr. Saluta, this year’s recognition is not the first time for the office, “Adtong 2022, ni apil gihapon mi and ni agto sa forum. Gihatagan gihapon mi og certificate of recognition and out of 22, nakasulod ta sa Top 5.” However, the office only received a certificate for this award.
As the office has attained a place in the Top 3 this year, Engr. Saluta talks about the recognition’s impact on their office and staff, “Mas maningkamot pajud mi na mahatag ang among best. Nag aim pa gihapon mi na ma awardan for the next year kay diri sa among opisina. Tungod sa among pag tinabangay, mas mapalambo and ma enhance namo among trabaho, para ma achieve gihapon ni namo sunod tuig.”
Aside from that, Engr. Saluta extends her warmest gratitude to Municipal Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño for his consistent support to their office that led to its success, “Pasalamat gyud mi ni Mayor kay diri sa Building Office, dako gyud kaayo iyang supporta sa amoa. Tanan nga among panginahanglanon, mo agto mi sa iya kay iya gyud mi ginatagaan og oras."
The timely and responsiveness of OBO not only promotes the efficiency of the LGU of Manolo Fortich, but also contributes to the quality policy and output of PSA.
