PUBLIC MARKET DIVISION & MOTORPOOL DIVISION DELIVERS THEIR 2023 ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORTS

November 2nd Monday Convocation

November 20, 2023 - The Local Government of Manolo Fortich conducts its 2nd Monday convocation in the third week of November 2023, inside the New Government Center, Manolo Fortich. 

The Market Division and the Motorpool and Heavy Equipment Division, presented their accomplishment reports from January to October 2023. Under the Market Division, the Municipal Memorial Park also presented updates as well as the sales and revenues as of October 2023. 

First to present was Market Supervisor III Engr. Rico Angelo Macapondag regarding the detailed statement of financial performance of the market enterprise from January up to October this year. A 14.8 Million income was reached compared to the target income which is 14 Million. Market Division OIC Allain Pausanos further presented the organizational structure of the division with 45 market employees, the status of income-generating establishments and stalls inventory from Public Markets (Agusan, Tankulan, and Damilag Public Markets), major activities like the soft opening of the food park last June 2023, maintenance and improvements, and additional sources of income such as the opening of the food court annex in Tankulan Public Market. 

Next presenter was Motorpool OIC Allan Manalo who presented this year’s updated number of vehicles, equipment, and motorcycles with a total of 133, 107 of which are serviceable with 3 unregistered, 4 unserviceable, and 19 are for disposal. He also delivered the number of bookings and dispatching with a total of 820 dispatched vehicles, as well as the fuel consumptions by end of September, among others. 

Last was the accomplishment report of the Municipal Memorial Park under the Market Division presented by Municipal Memorial Park Administrator Neuno Jesselton Ebora. He elaborated on the sales and collection, with 14 Million target and Php 94,478.88 actual collection as of October 2023. He also presented the activities from the sales caravan and opening held on September 22, 2023, the 22 barangays saturation drive, and the Undas from October 31 to November 2, 2023. Among the subjects also discussed were the proposed organizational structure, monthly amortization payment scheme, permits and licenses, the total number of units which is 20,940, and others.

Municipal Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño commended the divisions for their accomplishments, especially the Market division, “We get 44.30% of our net income [from Public Markets], so tingali maka-expand na ta ana. We can expand sa mga services, we can expand sa atong merkado, unsay buhaton nato nga ma-more attractive than what it is now.” With regards to heavy equipment, he suggested that equipment that have higher expenses in its maintenance than its income should be “deadlined” or put to standby. For the Municipal Memorial Park, he stated, “We have to invest, ang mga perimeter fence wala pa, ang mga road networks wala pa, lightings, dapat naa na. Naa nay opisina, kapilya, ipatan-aw unsay mga development program nga gamiton ana, atong gasto-an.”
