KALIPI- Womens Manolo Fortich lands 3rd Place

in Provincial Bahay-Kubo Contest 2023

After two consecutive and grueling evaluations conducted by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office in cooperation with Provincial Agriculture Office (PAGRO), Manolo Fortich KALIPI (Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina)- Women lands 3rd Place in Provincial Bahay-Kubo Contest 2023 receiving 20 thousand pesos cash prize.

KALIPI which aims to promote womens' development and empowerment harness food security through the flagship Bahay Kubo Program of the Local Government of the Province of Bukidnon. Bahay Kubo program is a project by the Provincial Government of Bukidnon which promotes backyard farming leading to livelihood among families as a means of alleviating poverty and hunger. This is similar to the Utanan sa Tugkaran Project of the Local Government of Manolo Fortich

Manolo Fortich KALIPI Women Federation Coordinator and BNB Coordinator Carmen Villarino expresseed her gratitude in receiving the award and their plans for the progress and development of the Bahay Kubo Project in Manolo Fortich for next year’s evaluation. “Nakab-ot nato ang 3^rd Prize among 20 LGUs and 2 cities sa Bukidnon. Dako kaayo among pagpasalamat nga isa ni sa oportunidad nga mahimong mulambo ang association ingon man usab ang Women’s KALIPI. Among dakong pagpasalamat sa atong mayor, Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño sa iyahang way puas nga pag-suporta ani nga programa. Sa 20 thousand nga prize, mao ni siyay amoang himoong pundo para mulambo pa gyud ang maong programa. Dili lang panahon sa contest kung dili hangtod na kanus-a ang programa ipadayon sa probinsiya.”

The KALIPI-Womens also participated in Best Local food product and Best Eco-friendly product display during the Women's Forum. The participants also gained knowledge through the talks given by different speakers from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Department of Trade and Industry regarding the different livelihood services available for the women in their respective agencies.
