RQPS SA PASKO 2023 UNLEASHES THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT ON ITS FIRST DAY

Merry Christmas, Manoleños!

The Local Government Unit of Manolo Fortich once again brings forth the 16th year of Real Quality Public Service (RQPS) sa Pasko 2023 to its Manoleños as it kicks off its first day by visiting the first 7 barangays of the municipality, namely Guilang-guilang, Santiago, Maluko, Dalirig, Ticala, Lingion, and Tankulan on Monday, December 18, 2023.

Despite the heavy rains and winds brought by Tropical Cyclone Kabayan, the RQPS Team, headed by Municipal Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño, and members of the Sangguniang Bayan, led by Vice Mayor Reynaldo L. Bagayas Jr., braved the weather and successfully delivered its gift-giving activity to the recipients of each zone per barangay.

Furthermore, this year’s RQPS sa Pasko focuses on giving at least 20 gift packs per zone of each barangay. Recipients were carefully selected by Zone Presidents who based their selection on households in dire need of help. The gift packs consisted of 5 kilos of rice, loaf bread, and grocery items, made possible by the positive sponsorship of the Sangguniang Bayan Members.

Among the delighted recipients is Nene Linonia from Sitio Abyawan, Barangay Dalirig. She expresses her deepest gratitude for the initiative as she has been able to participate numerous times in every RQPS, and the service never fails. “Dako ko’g pasalamat kang Mayor Quiño nga nakaapil ko sa RQPS ug nakadawat ko. Dako ni og tabang sa akoa tungod sa akong panginahanglan, unya sa akong mga pag umangkon ug pamilya, maka share pud ko sa ilaha.”

In response, Mayor Quiño also explained in an interview his real vision regarding the essence of this yearly Christmas initiative for his constituents, “Atong gitinguh na hinaut gyud sa tulo ka adlaw, atong mga ka-igsoonan kada barangay adunay madawat nga pinaskuhan sa dili pa magpahigayon ang pasko. Akong kinasing-kasing na pagtimbaya sa atong mga ka-igsoonan sa tibuok lungsod sa Manolo Fortich, na unta, ikalipay nila ang atong paghatag og ayuda.”

Aside from the gift-giving activity, one of the highlights of the RQPS sa Pasko 2023 was the Christmas Caroling presentation performed by Vice Mayor Bagayas Jr. and Sangguniang Bayan Members, where barangay residents heartfully joined the harmonious chorus accompanied by acoustic guitars played by Vice Mayor Bagayas Jr. and SK Federation President, Lennox J Tabaco.

The RQPS sa Pasko 2023 will run for another 2 days on Tuesday, December 19, to Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Until then, the barangays of Lindaban, Sankanan, Kalugmanan, Dahilayan, Mampayag, Agusan Canyon, Damilag, Alae, Mambatangan, Lunocan, Minsuro, Mantibugao, San Miguel, Sto. Niño, and Dicklum are yet to be visited.

Moreover, the season of giving is one precious time of the year that is consistently graced by Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño, along with the warmest support of the Sangguniang Bayan Members and the RQPS Team of the LGU of Manolo Fortich.
