Manolo Fortich Recognised for Outstanding Risk Reduction Efforts

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Manolo Fortich, led by Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño, was recognized as FULLY COMPLIANT by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) during the 2023 Gawad Kalasag Seal of Excellence Awarding Ceremony held at the Mallberry Suites Business Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City on December 27, 2022.

The award was received by LGU Manolo Fortich Administrator Engr. Joie Caesar M. Gaid on behalf of Municipal Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño, accompanied by LDRRM Research and Planning Officer Jane Patrice U. Musa, Admin and Training in-charge Marcklin P. Pelisco, and Operations and Warning In-Charge Ret. Col Rosseau M. Clerigo.

The Gawad Kalasag Seal of Excellence is awarded to local government units (LGUs) throughout the Philippines that have effectively implemented all provisions of RA 10121 or the Risk Reduction and Management Act, along with other DRRM policies and practices, including the conduct of Humanitarian Assistance.

This recognition serves as a testament to the competent performance and compliance assessment mechanism of LGU Manolo Fortich in adapting and implementing the programs and initiatives of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) in line with the establishment of local DRRM councils and offices.

The LGU of Manolo Fortich, with the support of the entire Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), remains committed to providing high-quality and reliable disaster response services to its constituents.
