107th Charter Day Celebration

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Manolo Fortich celebrated its 107th Charter Day at the New Government Center on April 4, 2024, under the theme "107 Years Strong: Manolo Fortich Soars with Unity and Banog-Banog Resilience."

The Charter Day commenced with a Eucharistic Celebration at the New Government Center Lobby led by Rev. Fr. Nads Gumalo, along with Rev. Fr. Bong Namucot and Rev. Fr. Bart Villarin. Present at the Holy Mass were Hon. Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño and the First Lady, Madame Tessie D. Quiño.

Following the Eucharistic Celebration, the Flag Hoisting Ceremony took place at NGC Ground, where Bukidnon 1st District Congressman Jose Manuel P. Alba and his spouse, former Congresswoman Ma. Lourdes Acosta-Alba, raised the National Flag. Meanwhile, Bukidnon Vice Governor Clive D. Quiño and his spouse, Councilor Rina E. Quiño, raised the Provincial Banner, and Municipal Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño and Madame Tessie D. Quiño raised the Municipal Banner. This was followed by the hoisting of 22 Barangay Banners by the respective 22 Punong Barangays, assisted by different heads of LGU offices.

A Socio-Civic Parade then proceeded from NGC Ground to the Municipal Gymnasium, where the opening program of the Charter Day celebration took place.

Moreover, the Pamahandi by Indigenous People occurred beside the New Municipal Building. This ritual served to express gratitude to Magbabaya for the municipality's development from its humble beginnings and to seek blessings and guidance for its future endeavors.

"Kini pasalamat nga nakaabot ta ani nga na develop na siya gikan sa kaniadto nga unang panahon nga mingaw pa kayo kini hangtod nga nagkaanam na siyag ka develop og daghan na kaayog na bag-o," said Datu Mapulong when asked about the ritual performed for the municipality's founding anniversary. "Unta ma dugangan pa sa maayong abot ang mga katawhan," he added.
