BARANGAY STO. NIÑO RECEIVES EXPANDED FREE SERVICES IN RQPS
RQPS: Mobile Laboratory
On Friday, April 5, 2024, the Real Quality Public Service (RQPS) continued its mission of providing free services to the public with its 24th round, held in Sto. Niño, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. The event, which saw the involvement of experts and local government personnel, catered to citizens of all ages.
RQPS offered a range of basic services, including haircuts, feeding, check-ups, dental care, and animal vaccinations, among others. Notably, mobile laboratory services were introduced for the first time in this barangay.
The newly launched mobile laboratory provided essential tests such as uric acid testing, cholesterol testing, blood sugar level checks, and electrocardiograms (ECG), particularly beneficial for patients with heart abnormalities.
Dr. Joanne Marie V. Dueñas, the Rural Health Physician overseeing the mobile laboratory, emphasized the significance of these services. "Naa man tay laboratories and part ana is ang ECG. Bali innovations nato na siya, initiative sa RQPS kay basic consultation raman sa una so nag-add lang ta og mobile nga maka check og random blood sugar, urinalysis, and cholesterol," she said.
Dr. Dueñas noted that majority of patients availing themselves of the mobile laboratory services suffered from conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, shortness of breath, and chest pain.
Rebecca Quiño Garaza, a senior citizen who underwent an ECG after her check-up, expressed her appreciation for the program. "Dako gyud kaayo'g tabang sa mga tao diri especially 'tong mga tao nga di na jud maka afford og mga private doctors bitaw," she commented.
Garaza also extended her gratitude to Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño, volunteers, and officers for their participation and support.
The next RQPS program is scheduled to provide services on Friday, April 12 at Barangay Dicklum.
