This year’s Provincial Nutrition Evaluation Team (PNET) headed by Chairperson Reyno C. Sevilla commends the Local Government Unit of Manolo Fortich - Municipal Nutrition Council (MNC) as one of the most outstanding implementers of local nutrition programs and activities in the Province of Bukidnon as the PNET conducted its annual evaluation to MNC, the Municipal Nutrition Office (MNO), and their various hubs and stations in Manolo Fortich last Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
Results garnered was based from the 6 dimensions of their criteria which is (1) Governance, (2) Nutrition Policies, (3) Vision and Mission, (4) Local Nutrition Management Function, (5) Nutrition Services, and (6) Nutrition Status all of whom the MNC has been actively working to implement along with the Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS). Overall, MNC scores 99.53%, an excellent feat.
Municipal Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño and Chairman of the MNC has been extending his full support to the programs and activities implemented by both the MNO and MNC. During the feedbacking activity of the evaluation, he shares how service to the people is top priority, “Dinhi sa Manolo fortich maskin pag damgo, bisan pag walay evaluation maningkamot jud mi nga ma serbisyohan namo ang among katawhan.”
Meanwhile, Municipal Nutrition Action Officer (MNAO) of MNO Rikkie Mae L. Lucero also scores 100% as an Outstanding Local Nutrition Focal Point this year as evaluated by the PNET and also counts as a candidate for a regional-level evaluation, to be deliberated first by the Province of Bukidnon for further recommendation.
With this, Lucero extends her warmest gratitude to the officers who took part in contributing not only to her evaluation, but for the MNC as well, “I’m very happy. Thank you sa Municipal Nutrition Committee dako kaayo ning pasalamat sa inyoha kay kung wala mo dili mi maka compile sa among mga requirements, sa DepEd, sa MAO, sa MHO, sa tanan tanan thank you so much ug kay mayor pud sa pag approach.”
The rest of the evaluation activity headed by PNET was simultaneous. Teams were divided to conduct monitoring on Lactation Stations and Breastfeeding hubs, Teen Centers, Food Fortifications in Barangay Tankulan, and an evaluation to the BNS’ Performance in Barangay Damilag as their station is the highest scorer in the recently concluded Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Evaluation per barangay in late February to early March this year.
Furthermore, as MNC has been a Nutrition Honor Awardee since last year, it aims to maintain consistency by improving its services related to health and nutrition to the women, children, and to all vulnerable constituents of Manolo Fortich.
