In its annual service of accommodating registration or renewal of business permits within Manolo Fortich, this year’s Business-One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) is now in full operation. This year, the service runs from January 2025 through February 13, 2025, at the Municipal Gymnasium, offering convenient on-site and online processes.
Through Republic Act No. 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Manolo Fortich, through the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO), ensures streamlined procedures. This includes quick on-site applications and the option for online processing from home.
The online application in the Web Service Portal is the highlight of this year’s BOSS. Business Permit and Licensing Officer Mae S. Paurillo shares this is the best practice that allows clients to process their registration or renewal in the comfort of their homes, “Kini naghatag og kahigayonan sa mga negosyante nga maproseso ang ilang business permit application online samtang naa ra sila sa ilang mga balay. Aduna pud add-on nga delivery service diin mamahimo nga e-deliver ang hard copy as business permits and clearances through J&T express.”
Moreover, successful clients have already applied through the Web Service Portal and are currently in queue for J&T’s delivery of their business permits and clearances, according to BPLO. Payment methods such as bank transfer through the Landbank Mobile Application or GCASH were utilized, as well as over-the-counter payment to the Municipal Treasurer’s Office (MTO) at the New Government Center.
On-site services, which began on January 6, are ongoing and continue to accommodate clients in their designated schedules. Personnel from LGU Manolo Fortich are stationed at the Municipal Gymnasium to check clients’ documents, assist with navigating the BOSS Web Service Portal, and conduct safety seminars with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
In an interview, Socorin Lending Corporation Owner and Founder Augustina Socorin from Barangay Alae shared that throughout the years of her annual business renewal, there’s a yearly improvement in the ease of the BOSS services to clients like her, “Grabe gyud mo atiman ang LGU sa amo mga negosyante kay sa amo pa lang pagsulod, tudluan mi unsay buhaton, magkuha mi og cedula, unya maghatag dayun og mga fill-upan namo. Okay jud kaayo kay plastar. Unya ang nagtrabaho pud diha sa lamesa, smiling kaayo ug grabe ka accommodating.”
As services improve to provide a comfortable experience for its clients, LGU Manolo Fortich continues to remind all businesses to register or renew within their scheduled times to avoid penalties after the conclusion of this year’s BOSS.
