BARUGANAN VOLUNTEERS' CREDIT COOPERATIVE EXPANDS SERVICES TO BOOST ECONOMIC GROWTH

BAVCC Cares!

The Baruganan Volunteers' Credit Cooperative (BAVCC) continues to drive economic growth as it prepares to launch additional credit services this year. During its 2nd General Assembly at the ABC Hall, Barangay Tankulan, Manolo Fortich on Monday, February 24, 2025, BAVCC discussed the upcoming rollout of its Salary Loan in April and Livelihood Loan in June.

With the assembly's theme, "Paglambigit ug Pagtinabangay, bunga sa usa ka malahutayong panaghiusa," BAVCC underscores the importance of active participation and collaboration in implementing programs that empower its members financially. These new credit services aim to create more economic opportunities for members.

As one of BAVCC's founders, Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño emphasized the cooperative's role in helping its members become wiser in managing their finances, "Gitukod nato ni ang kooperatiba kay atong gilantaw ang kaugmaon sa mga miyembro nga mulambo sila. Sideline lang sa panginabuhi nga miyembro ka sa cooperative, pero pamaagi niini, dili ma stagnant ang inyong kwarta sa bangko, motubo pa. Mao nang inkaso naay mga kinahanglanon, adunay kooperatiba nga makatabang kanato."

These cooperative benefits have long been enjoyed by its current members, mainly barangay volunteers and zonal leaders. Mayor Quiño also announced that membership will soon be expanded beyong its existing members, allowing interest individuals outside the barangay volunteer network to join.

Among those in attendance was Barangay Tankulan Volunteer Evelyn B. Dagohay, who expressed her gratitude as a long-time member and beneficiary, "Nagpasalamat gyud ko kay gitagaan gyud ta og kahigayonan ni Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño agi aning kooperatiba nato apil sa iyang gipangandaman nga mga benefits para kanato mga miyembro kay meaninga ni, naa jud tay bili sa iya."

During the assembly, BAVCC also outlined its key activities and projects for 2025, including membership expansion and potential collaborations with personnel from the Local Government Unit of Manolo Fortich. The discussion was led by Committee Chairperson on Trade, Commerce, and Cooperative, Councilor Christy 'Tata" Leparto, alongside BAVCC Cooperative Chairman Jerelyn B. Pisos.

Notable attendees included Pyramid Consolidated Builders, Inc. President Engr. Earl L. Navarro, who served as the guest speaker, as well as Vice Governor Clive D. Quiño, Vice Mayor Reynaldo L. Bagayas Jr., Councilor Rina E. Quiño, Councilor Joy L. Cordovez.
