LGU Manolo Fortich opens Nutri-Hab Center
Municipal Nutrition Office opens the Nutri-Hab center for the severely malnourished children of Manolo Fortich
The Municipal Nutrition and Action Office of Manolo Fortich opens the Nutrition Rehabilitation Center or the “Nutri-Hab” Center to the public during its Thanksgiving on October 20, 2022. The Nutri-Hab center houses facilities for the Human Milk-Hub center, the pioneering breast milk facility in the whole province in Bukidnon among other services offered by the Nutrition Office.
The Thanksgiving started with the Ceremonial Turn-over of Symbolic Key and the blessing of the building which was graced by the Municipal Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño himself along with Vice Mayor Reynaldo “Bojun” L. Bagayas Jr., Chairman on the Committee on Health and Nutrition Coun. Joy L. Cordovez, Coun. Miguel D. Demata and Coun. Elziver A. Dagunlay.
According to Nutrition Officer Alyanna Faith Caballero, the completion of the Nutri-Hab will reinforce the Municipal Nutrition Action Office’s service in eradicating malnutrition in the municipality. “Gitukod ang atuang Nutri-Rehabilitation Center para sa atoang severely malnourished nga mga bata. So dire nato sila i-rehab,i-treat pakaunon sa ilahang mga sakit, para kadtong mga ubos ug timbang mabalik sila sa pagka-normal.” (The Nutirtion Rhabilitation Center is created for the severely malnourished children. So, here we will rehab, treat and feed them so that those who have low weight mass and stunted height will return to normal.)
Moreover, Nutrition Officer Rikkie Mae Lucero said the center amounting to 1.5 million pesos from the LGU fund shall run the different nutrition supplementation activities and services that the Municipal Nutrition and Action Office.
