The Sangguniang Bayan of Manolo Fortich leads the Monday Convocation at the New Government Center Lobby last January 23, 2023.
Councilor Miguel D. Demata presented the Legislative Activities of the 19th Sangguniang Bayan starting from the month of January until June 2022. In his report, they have held 23 sessions, enacted 27 ordinances, passed 64 resolutions, conducted 181 committee hearings and 10 Public Hearings.
Vice Mayor Reynaldo L. Bagayas Jr. shared about the 20th Sangguniang Bayan in the first 6 months of their legislation. In his report there were 24 regular sessions held and 1 special session conducted, 116 committee hearings, 8 public hearings, 129 enacted ordinances, and 271 resolutions passed.
In connection, Municipal Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño praised the accomplishment of the Sangguniang Bayan as well as the councilors for actively participating in every Monday flag raising and for being present almost every day in their offices. “Halos everyday nia gyud ang atong mga Councilors dinhi sa atong munisipyo para magplano sa unsay matabang diha sa atong pang-gobyerno diha sa Manolo Fortich ug ingon man unsa pa ang mahimo nato nga kaayohan para matabang sa katawhan. “(Almost every day they councilors are here in the government center to plan for the things that could help the people of our community.)” stated by the Municipal Mayor.
The recognition of the Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) through Resolution No. 2023-27, “Resolution Expressing Commendation to Northern Bukdnon State College for Ranking 8th Palace as top Performing Higher Education Institution in the Philippines for the October 2022 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) Elementary Levels with the average passing rate of 90.41%.” was also initiated.
The Municipal Agriculturist Gemma G. Cania was also lauded during the program because of her efforts in pursuing Functional Agricultural Resources Management through Electronic Registry for the farmers.
Another recognition is also given to Damilag Barangay Council headed by Captain Allan G. Torres Jr. as National Awardee in the Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangay (SGLGB) of the Department of interior and Local Government (DILG) for the calendar year of 2022.
