SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION EXTENDS AMNESTY GRANT
SEC Extends Amnesty Deadline for Non-Compliant Corporations. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) remains vigilant in monitoring corporations to prevent penalties and detect money laundering.
Alarming numbers of non-compliant non-stock corporations/associations have prompted action. SEC's Amnesty Memorandum Circular, initially due on April 30, granted amnesty for late or non-filing of reports. Due to overwhelming demand, the deadline was extended to June 30, 2023.
However, requests for further extension continue to pour in, leading to the issuance of MC No. 9 of 2023, pushing the deadline to September 30, 2023.
