MANOLO FORTICH BOOSTS LOCAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP WITH 1ST BUSINESS FORUM MONTH

Employment Opportunities through Livelihood, Commerce, and Trade.

MONDAY—The 1st Business Forum Month culminated with a promising stream of networking and collaboration for the business community of Manolo Fortich. Business owners from various barangays showcasing local products and services gathered at the Municipal Gymnasium on July 28, 2025, to receive coaching aimed at enhancing their entrepreneurial skills and fostering partnerships with fellow entrepreneurs.

Guest speaker during the culmination program, Aboitiz Infracapital Assistant Vice President and Regional Airports Head of Aeronautical Business Development Francis Loi, urged the participants to see the event as an opportunity for growth in Manolo Fortich, stating, “Let’s build a future together where we connect lives, businesses, and dreams. Let’s unlock the potential of Northern Mindanao and let’s make growth take off through trade, culture, innovation, and investments.”

Throughout July, the Negosyo Center, Manolo Fortich Chamber of Commerce and Industry Incorporated (MFCCII), Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (LEDIPO), and Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC), with assistance from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI 10), collaborated to conduct a series of free training sessions. These sessions equipped business owners with modules on business generation, marketing, product development and costing, franchising, and value chain strategies.

The training emphasized the importance of building businesses from the grassroots level toward sustainability and innovation. It also highlighted the role of entrepreneurship in creating employment and livelihood opportunities in line with Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño’s 10-Point Agenda, particularly his fourth priority: Employment Opportunities through Livelihood, Commerce, and Trade.

Moreover, Mayor Quiño, who attended the culmination event, underscored his vision of reducing poverty incidence in Manolo Fortich through employment generation via the business sector, “Atong gilantaw ang kahimtang sa atong mga pobreng igsoon ug ang atong business sectors ang makatabang sa ila kay they can create employment. They are our partners in development here in Manolo Fortich.”

Among the forum participants was the newly franchised branch of Rapide Auto Service Experts in Lunocan. According to Head of Marketing Zeria Lyn S. Mandal, the training sessions and forum were instrumental in equipping her with marketing strategies and fostering partnerships with other businesses, “It helped us market our company because we are new in the vicinity. It helped us connect with our businesses not just to market it but to be partners with them.”
