COMELEC: No extension to Voter’s Registration

The Commission on Election of Manolo Fortich announced that they did not receive any resolution regarding the extension of the voter’s registration in the coming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Election. Manolo Fortich COMELEC Officer Gemma C. Ravelo relayed the information in an interview in Barug Manolo Fortich.
According to Ravelo, aside from the voter’s registration in their office they also conducted Satellite Registration in the four barangays of Manolo Fortich which are barangays Damilag, Sto. Nino, Lunocan and Alae. Ravelo added that since their re-opening for the registration on July 4, 2022, there are 3,958 new voters registered, most of which are fifteen year olds and above.
The voter’s registration is not limited to enrolling new voters but also to transfer, correction of entry and reactivation. The Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections are scheduled on December 5, 2022.
